چکیده

Wind energy is one of the fastest growing energies due to its feasible cost and environment friendly nature, where there no emission waste or greenhouse gases emission. systems should be connected electric utility avoid effects intermittent nature these sources. One main problems integration wind turbines unbalanced voltage grid. Many efforts have been made remedy grid with utility. This research points out need for more accurate robust controllers, such as those mentioned in this paper. A novel combination strategy presented paper overcome inherent imbalance voltages when used a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG). technique designed adapt positive sequence dq-axis output current from PMSG extract maximum power available turbine. Meanwhile, negative component improve quality controller introduced side converter compensate 2nd 6th components currents. Using controllers reduces all dominant currents permits tracker available. detailed simulation experimental studies are show operation under different operating conditions. The results proposed superiority fully remedying effect voltages.

Control of PMSG Wind Turbine Based on PI/ANN Controllers under Unbalanced Grid Voltage and Nonlinear Load Conditions

Renewable Energy Sources (RES) are nowadays growing rapidly at the distribution level and it employs power electronic converters to ensure reliable operation to the customers. Among the RES, wind energy is now firmly established technology for electricity generation. This paper proposes a conventional PI controller and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) controller to GSC of PMSG, which can obtain ...

Low Voltage Ride Through Enhancement Based on Improved Direct Power Control of DFIG under Unbalanced and Harmonically Distorted Grid Voltage

In the conventional structure of the wind turbines along with the doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG), the stator is directly connected to the power grid. Therefore, voltage changes in the grid result in severe transient conditions in the stator and rotor. In cases where the changes are severe, the generator will be disconnected from the grid and consequently the grid stability will be attenu...

Efficient low-voltage ride-through nonlinear backstepping control strategy for PMSG-based wind turbine during the grid faults

This paper presents a new nonlinear backstepping controller for a direct-driven permanent magnet synchronous generator-based wind turbine, which is connected to the power system via back-to-back converters. The proposed controller deals with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in normal condition and enhances the low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) capability in fault conditions. In this method, to...

Behavior of DFIG Wind Turbine during Unbalanced Grid Voltage

The use of doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs) in wind turbines has become quite common for the last few years. These machines provide variable speed and are driven with a power converter which is sized for a small percentage of the turbine-rated power. This paper presents a detailed model of an induction generator coupled to wind turbine system. Modeling and simulation of the induction mac...

An Improved Control Method for a DFIG in a Wind Turbine under an Unbalanced Grid Voltage Condition

This paper presents a control method, which reduces the pulsating torque and DC voltage problems of a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind turbine system. To reduce the torque and power ripple, a current control scheme consisting of a proportional integral (PI) controller is presented in a positive synchronously rotating reference frame, which is capable of providing precise current...
